TBT being nice

A few of us at TBT are throwing around ideas to do something nice for Hobart. Andrew D had the idea of giving away free soup and good coffee in the mall at lunch time. Jess P also had a good idea of doing a free car wash for Hobart. The idea is simply to show kindness to our city in some way. Anyone got any ideas?

Pascal

I have battled for 2 days now, it's awesome but hard. This morning I started at 5 so it was a 410 rise for me :( Pascal absolutely pumps out the products so there is a lot going on in the kitchen mostly. So far I have kind of done a bit of everything so I'm getting used to the environment.

Mother ship on mothers day

I returned to my former church on Sunday for a visit with my parents. Kingston Reformed Church is a big mother church (with a horrendously bad website) to 3 other smaller church plants in the area. I still have a fair few friends from Kingston so it was good to catch up for a coffee afterward. Mikey's brother preached on 1 Joshua, it was awesome. Reminding us that Joshua and Moses were kick butt prophets, but we now have Jesus who obviously trances them. Dave Lynch is certainly worth a listen.

TBT mens prayer and cigars

This evening 6 of us gathered at the Mount Nelson Signal Station lookout for prayer. We smoked Captain Black cigars and prayed for about 45 min in the freezing conditions. It was totally awesome.

Block Cinema Flier

TBT has to hand out 5000 of these in the next couple of weeks. What a cool flier it is.

Pascal totally inspired me

Faithful

I've been thinking about this lately. How important it is to be faithful in serving Gods good purposes and will. There are so many things that can distract you from doing this, it's kind of dismal. How lame is it when you go dry in serving God when things get hard. I hate it when I start feeling unmotivated and bored in doing God's will, this feeling is really dead to have. We want to be faithful servants to a faithful master.

Usually Matt 6:33 pumps me up. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Butter

I love butter.

Pascal :D

Well I did it, I took Jean Pascal on and he gave me a job. I thank God for everyone who prayed and cared so much about my job hunt. I start next Monday at 6am. He is the most french looking guy I have ever seen.

Zum

The trial went real well; they said I would probably get the job. Now I have to battle Pascal tomorrow.

The Birth of Block Cinema

Last Thursday TBT hosted the first public Block Cinema:
  • Unfortunately the land lord double booked our event with a life drawing class, in which I accidentally barged in on. I was suddenly exposed to a bunch of old people drawing and a naked woman lying on a table. It was rather shocking.
  • Thankfully the land lord managed to sort out the confusion and we still ran Block Cinema from about 8pm onwards.
  • We had a handful of new guests, which was awesome.
  • We had plenty of unhealthy movie snacks and soft drink.
  • It was freezing outside but TBT hall was warm as.

Jean Pascal!

Yesterday was amazing; I actually had two interview offers in less than 2 hours. Jean Pascal also responded to my resume which I only gave them about 6 hours earlier. I am going for a trial at Zum tonight, and a trial at Jean's on Monday. God seems to be answering prayer wildly. Thanks for your prayers.
